Digital Sovereignty

In this episode of the Ponto a Ponto series, attorney and legal consultant Ana Paula Bialer and legal scholar and researcher Luca Belli discuss the limits and possibilities of digital sovereignty, examining its geopolitical implications and implications for national security in a global context marked by the concentration of power among Big Tech companies.

How can we balance national development with access to foreign technologies? Is building data centers in Brazil necessarily a measure of digital sovereignty? What should be the role of the State in building a digital ecosystem that is safer, more competitive, and aligned with the country’s interests?
