Plataforma Democrática (Democratic Platform)

Created in 2007 by the Fundação Fernando Henrique Cardoso and the Edelstein Center for Social Research, Plataforma Democrática is dedicated to strengthening democratic culture and institutions in Brazil and Latin America.

We conduct research, publish studies, and host seminars on societal and political transformations in the region and the broader international landscape, focusing on the challenges to democratic governance and coexistence. Our mission is to foster dialogue between knowledge producers and diverse social and political actors, in a non-partisan way. We encourage democratic citizenship and civic culture that values reasoned debate and various perspectives.
